Yin Xiaoyuan – avant garde cross over poet from Beijing – from Pinyon Publishing, has translated my poems. She is founder of the Encyclopedic Poetry School, a pioneering movement which combines physics, astronomy, geography, atmospheric science, geometry, biology, medicine, chemistry, history, archaeology, mathematics, psychology, aesthetics, linguistics, mythology, musicology, cinematics, linguistics, semiotics, architecture, sociology, philosophy, information technical and artificial intelligence, etc., and a systematical integration of classicism, romanticism, Symbolism, impressionism, surrealism, absurdism, expressionism, constructivism, postmodernism in poetry, esp. epics. As for style exercises, codes, Braille, entries, Excel formulas, charts, installation arts, riddles, interactive multi-ending plots, etc. have been integrated so far into traditional literary genres.
Influenced by Oulipan poetics, Encyclopedic Poetry School attaches more importance to guidebookish, assimilative, constructive treatment of subject matters and encyclopaedia, as well as techniques and new structures and patterns.

Morris Minor 1000
The Fire Flies
These are not the last
days of the fire flies
the fire flies blink like
the green indicator
lights on
our Morris Minor
1000 parked
under a Durian tree maybe
a thousand or more
We are surprised & satisfied
the evening brings
on the show
the fire flies like
Christmas lights that
weave through
the foliage or
the strobes of distant
planes on spiralling
waiting lists
for landing all
one colour though
they are trick emeralds
they are not a fly at all
but a bug with
a hard shell of orange lacquer
how they see themselves
requires further investigation
perhaps a scientific response but
going now deeper into
the flurry they turn off
one by one &
The Two Mothers / a Conversation
The one who cares
is the one you abandon
to the slow germination
of village days.
The other one abandons
her few fallow acres
whose most valued possessions
are beauty & optimism
gods & demons
whose bedroom has become
a shrine to a three speed fan
and singers of renown.
One is the backbone of the shop
ironing (everything
has a perfect crease).
The other gives birth
to a confused offspring – part
bird perhaps, oddly plumed
partly you.
